Whether you’re into trends or not, it’s interesting to see what engagement ring style is taking over Instagram or Pinterest and what hints you may want to pass on to your significant other…
Oval diamonds were the shape of 2021 and it’s easy to see why. Their carat weight appears larger than it is due to its elongated shape, they also lengthen the finger plus make them appear slender – what’s not to love? Thanks to Kourtney Kardashian and Hailey Bieber, ovals continue to be the top of the diamond cut list this year and my prediction is that they will stay at the top spot for a little while yet.

Similarly to ovals, the pear cut also makes the finger appear longer and slender. Half round brilliance cut, half marquise, the pear shape has taken 2022 by storm and it doesn’t look like it’s going anywhere anytime soon. When cut to the right proportions, pear cut, also known as tear drop, gives off the most magnificent fire and sparkle.

Of course, what’s deemed as “fashionable” changes over the years, however, engagement ring trends tend to stick around for years and even decades. Although, when it comes down to it, no matter what’s “in trend” and what’s out, as long as you love the ring, it is something that will last a lifetime.
